I can 100% honestly tell you that I never ever thought of Aunt Jemima as
a racist image playing to some type of stereotype.

Ever.

Just a wholesome type of image selling syrup and pancakes.

People are so stupid.

 

Maybe they will revise it to Aunt Stacy to keep things more contemporary.

 

I just took my bottle out of the fridge and putting it in the safe...

I remember that quite a while ago I forewarned you guys that at some point they would be removing the black jujyfruits from the packages, especially since whitey likes to throw them on the floor at the movie theater.

We are getting closer to that day. Might need another week, but it is coming.

I don't like the black jujyfruits either, so I want to apologize for that. It could be as a result of my white privilege or it could just be because they taste like shiite. Let the viewers decide.

 

Well to be fair Aunt Jemima was a caricature of a mammy stereotype from minstrel shows, was not the best image to choose for a brand and at least the eventually took away the bandana and improved the image.

It would be like a bank having Jewy McJewy as their logo.

I wonder if they are going to keep the name and get rid of the logo or change the name as well...
