August and September Scary Stock Market Headlines From 2015, Remember?

Discussion in 'Trading' started by JesseJamesFinn1, Sep 11, 2016.

  1. Remember these headlines last year in August and September during the Great Biotech Implosion and Oil Meltdown? What about the Stop-Loss Debacle where some of our Elite Trading Members were able to buy some great stocks and ETFs very cheap.

  2. The Biotech Bloodbath made some of our Elite Trader Shorts bank while the Stop-Loss Debacle helped other Elite Members buy amazing ETFs for a 20-35% discount. Hi Yielding ETFs, Dow Double Dividend and 3x ETFs bought made traders serious money. During Brexit I bought some EURL in the high $14s and bought more at $15, EURL has finally made its way back to $23 after two months. We get chances like these to make 3 or 5x our money with Options, great chances for big money.

Photos of Chinese investors starting at public quote terminals on Bloomberg for added fear factor helped wash things out quickly. All the Chinese Stocks slaughtered back than would hit a record high in August 2016. What do you think about this fallout is different than fear China's GDP was going to cause a great recession along with food riots and fear? China's Bank starting to buy stocks and put in a few restrictions, remember they stopped trading?

  3. Overnight

    Overnight

It was all because China devalued their yuan twice, on Aug 11th and then again on the 12th of Aug. The financial world shuddered. Thankfully we have kinda' recovered from it. Now we just have to deal with Brexit fallout.

  4. Look how well this European 3x ETF has recovered from Brexit, I bought CS, IVR, AIZ and BTI along with a basket of US Stocks. Don't you think this ETF is a type of Canary in the Coal mine? Its the same with EUSB too, when Turkey's Coup happened I bought some of that ETF after waiting for more details. With the Stock Market holding the Fed Hostage what kind investors who are starved for yields do? I appreciate your insights, just trying to figure out the Bond side of Friday's move because other members feel somethings is different this time.
