to other people in canada. I don't have a problem with canada. I have a problem with crazy leftists from Canada commenting on America obsessively and having the nerve to put others down in the first comment on the thread.

  5. I actually listened to the video and he is clearly 100% correct. Hillary and Obama intentionally destabilized Libya, at the behest of the Europeans it must be said, on ridiculous rationalizations. Of course, they faced no criticism from the republican war mongers, ever eager to get us involved in places where we have zero national interest.

  6. Libya was supposed to be the showcase for democracy that Hillary would use as a feather in her cap to show what a good job she had done when she ran for president. Instead it descended into hell, and that i precisely why Chris Stevens died. He begged the state department for more security and for permission to have some defense department troops stationed there- increasingly complaining in his communications that "the black flag of al queda was being flown all around the embassy." Hillary would not place extra security there because it undermined the official narrative that she had created a Jeffersonian Republic in North Africa which looks good on the campaign trail. Thus she directly facilitated Ambassador Steven's death and his blood is on her hands.

GOP Rep: I ‘Absolutely’ Voted To Cut Funding For Embassy Security
    By Ben Armbruster

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) said today that he voted to cut funding for U.S. embassy security amid political attacks from Republicans that the Obama administration did not do enough to secure the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya that was attacked last month.

Republicans and their allies have been trying to politicize the attack — which killed four Americans, including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya — suggesting, without evidence, the Obama administration may have ignored intelligence that the attack was imminent, didn’t properly secure the Benghazi compound and is now trying to cover it up.

But hidden beneath the GOP campaign is the fact that House Republicans voted to cut nearly $300 million from the U.S. embassy security budget. When asked if he voted to cut the funds this morning on CNN, Chaffetz said, “Absolutely”:

O’BRIEN: Is it true that you voted to cut the funding for embassy security?CHAFFETZ: Absolutely. Look, we have to make priorities and choices in this country. We have — think about this — 15,000 contractors in Iraq. We have more than 6,000 contractors, private army there for President Obama in Baghdad. And we’re talking about can we get two dozen or so people into Libya to help protect our forces? When you’re in tough economic times, you have to make difficult choices how to prioritize this.
    CNN has the clip:

The Washington Post’s Dana Milbank breaks it all down:

For fiscal 2013, the GOP-controlled House proposed spending $1.934 billion for the State Department’s Worldwide Security Protection program — well below the $2.15 billion requested by the Obama administration. House Republicans cut the administration’s request for embassy security funding by $128 million in fiscal 2011 and $331 million in fiscal 2012. (Negotiations with the Democrat-controlled Senate restored about $88 million of the administration’s request.) Last year, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned that Republicans’ proposed cuts to her department would be “detrimental to America’s national security” — a charge Republicans rejected.

[GOP vice presidential nominee Paul] Ryan, [Rep. Darrell] Issa and other House Republicans voted for an amendment in 2009 to cut $1.2 billion from State operations, including funds for 300 more diplomatic security positions. Under Ryan’s budget, non-defense discretionary spending, which includes State Department funding, would be slashed nearly 20 percent in 2014, which would translate to more than $400 million in additional cuts to embassy security.

“It’s also important to note,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said last week, “that the Republican appropriation in Congress gave the administration $300 million less than it asked for for the State Department, including funding for security.”

  8. Oh gawd, you are recycling that old "cut embassy funding" clown show argument. What an embarassment. The argument is that republicans cut funding so Hillary had no responsibility to prioritize any needs. Let's see now "Canada needs a new cafeteria in Ottawa and the ambassador to libya is under fire in a war zone shiite-hole country. I wonder where I should direct resources."

The other inconvenient little truth is that the General in Germany who had responsibility for north africa operations offered- free of charge- to immediately send some marines there to put some security in place - something which Stevens desparately wanted but he told the general that State Department definitely did not want uniformed troops there because it undercut Hillary's narrative that she had freed the Libyans and they were on their way to a Jeffersonian Democracy.

I have heard several libs make the argument - based on the facts I just outlined- that Stevens more or less signed up for the risk and refused help when it was offered. Ahh..no he didnt. He worked for the State Department and did not go outside channels because he hoped that additional state department security would be sent. Instead, Hillary left him out there on the front lines of diplomatic service to count the days until when he would be killed. Of course, Ottawa needed that new cafeteria, eh?

What comes next in the sequence of recycled clown arguments? Are we going to see some articles where Susan Rice and Hillary assure us that Chris Steven's death was caused by some guy in California who made anti-muslim videos in his basement? Yeh, no end to the clown arguments once you get started. Plenty to choose from.

Notice a trend here. Susan Rice the chief spokesliar for Benghazi and then Susan Rice spokesliar for the unmasking. I am looking forward to seeing more of her. So is Trey Gowdey.
