I am proud of mine! Here it is... Nobody on it. Come on, who can beat zero peeps? Surely someone on this forum has more than myself. Let's see it! (The fun thing is, the people who have me on ignore cannot see me, so cannot respond! AHAHAHHA)
I've never blocked anyone after being on here for almost fifteen years and never will...feels too much like a teenager/high schooler would do.
Then you currently win the medal, because you and I have same record, but you have it for longer. BONECRUSHER is currently the champion of the NON-ignorers. I am wondering when all those users will come out and brag about all the peeps they have on ignore, to show their wisdom in attempting to destroy the community passively by messing up conversational flow.
Most on my ignore / block list...they've moved on to a very dark place that they can not escape or they quit the forum within 1 - 2 years after arriving on my ignore / block list. In fact, I gave my ignore / block list a nickname... The Ring wrbtrader
How does that work? I thought when someone went on ignore, only the ignore-er is affected. Everyone else can still see the "ignored's" posts. ?? Is there a list of who has the most on ignore... or who is on the most ignore lists?
Zero on my list, and I've been here awhile. I gather I am on a few, but doesn't really break my heart. I will admit to getting put on the biggest ignore list after getting kicked out ET a few years back. I groveled and quit drinking and was allowed back. Thank you Baron.
No, the ignoree is also affected. They cannot see the ignorer's post. So without knowing it, a thread may start to not make sense because there are gaps in the thread and the ignoree doesn't know the poster has them on ignore.
Imo it works like this; there are some unfortunates on ET who contribute little, total trading noobs who post one liners about nothing, some are bots, and then some who just enjoy a fight and communicate aggresively. There are others who are intelligent, contribute and others who don't post frequently but at least put some effort into a thoughtful reply when they do. Due to the fact there are probably scores of new post each day, placing someone on ignore is just a filter to weed out garbage. There is also the problem, stupid nonsensical posts have a habit of making one reply which results in either a flame errupting, or probably just as bad, the stupid poster won't reply, ie, you have wasted your time trying to correct an idiot. So, the ignore is good, it eliminates more posts about nothing. As for missing the gist of a thread because of gaps..... forgetabout it, you are missing nothing.
