  1. I'd like to take the pulse of ET traders to see where their experience has actually led them.

    • Taking into consideration ALL of my losses, since I began trading I am sitting on a small or insignificant loss.
    • Taking into consideration ALL of my losses, since I began trading I am sitting on a significant or hefty loss.
    • Taking into consideration ALL of my losses, since I began trading I am sitting on a small or tidy profit.
    • Taking into consideration ALL of my losses, since I began trading I am sitting on a substantial or hefty profit.

Please state you reasons why you trade? Are you hopeful and improving? Or are there other reasons?

  2. Yeah, I am profitable.

But who is going to believe it?

I have been a member of ET for over five years and have over 500 posts.

  3. That is a real concern. How honest are people going to be in the poll?

Just reading how the OP formulated the question, you can see that he has a tendancy to focus on gains and negate his losses...Yeah we have to have to take losses into account to know if we are profitable, that's pretty much incredible...LOL.

Again, this seems to support a nice blend of burgeoning "Elite" traders.

Personally I am sitting on relatively small losses (less than 10k) as I have only risked a small amount in these developmental stages as a trader.

I am now comfortable to not only risk a small amount that will grow into a significant amount that can and will be grown into a substantial amount - without risk of severe loss.

Time on the other hand during the second 5 years of my personal growth plan as a trader was and opportunity lost wrt developing relationships andf spending/consuming the sacrificed (would be) corporate paycheck upwards of about $500,000.

  7. Many have weighed in. Perhaps more with comments regarding their journey.

  8. This.

Except I've only been a member for 7-8 months and have 315 posts.

  9. I started two years ago with $10k, did ok and got up to about $20k, misjudged what would happen when the recession fears hit the stock market and dropped to $9k, completely changed my strategy, and now I'm fairly profitable, having gone from $15k 8 months ago to $41k now. Percentage wise I am very satisfied with my performance, and hopefully I can keep it up as I learn more about trading.

    Style of trade: Swing

  10. Excellent. I "swing", too.p$
