Are these statistics a legitimate point of concern for white Chicago residents?

A legitimate concern for white Chicagoans, or is the notion of a white issue racist?

  1. I decided to test out the DWL theory that race tells us nothing about violent crime in Chicago.

According to the 2010 Census, African-Americans and Hispanics are 61.3 percent of Chicago’s population. Whites and Asians are 38.4 percent.

    Homicide

96.8 percent of homicide in Chicago is committed by African-Americans and Hispanics.

Of the 2,759 robberies committed in Chicago in 2009, 2,352 of those robberies were committed by African-Americans, which means that African-Americans are responsible for 85.2 percent of robbery in Chicago.

Source: 2009 Annual Report, Chicago Police Department

It looks to me like 96.8 percent of homicide, 93.3 percent of rape, 96 percent of robbery, and 91.8 percent of aggravated assault – 94.5 percent of violent crime in Chicago - is committed by African-Americans and Hispanics.

Are these facts a legitimate point of concern for white Chicagoans? Would it be "racist" for white Chicagoans to be concerned about these facts as they relate to white people? Would it be "racist" for them to consider it in terms of it's racial context or implications? Why or why not?

No kidding, at this rate he's in danger of catching up with the Trump, Palin and anti religion thread starters.

  4. Well I guess that's better than actually addressing the topic.

  5. At least Trump, Palin and religion are related to Politics & Religion

  6. Are you saying that crime data and race aren't political topics? Don't tell the DOJ, the Black Congressional Caucus, the Civil Rights division, La Raza, or the Department of Education, or the FBI that...

  8. I wont feed your racial trolling and attempts to turn ET into stormfront ,I will only point it out

  9. You were trolling, not I. I asked a forthright question based on credible data from government agencies. You entered the thread and began to ridicule me, and are now further making personal slurs and attempting to associate me with some whack job fringe conspiracy theory website, all white failing to even address the question. So who was trolling again? I said nothing hateful and used no racist slurs, nor did I even so much as use a disrespectful tone.

Unless you intend to address the topic, please go away. Thanks.

  10. Mosts of your threads and posts are about race and negative towards blacks and hispanics.Just thought I would mention that
