Are there funds in the European markets that focus on good high tech/innovation stocks?

    Thanks.

  2. No, because there are no hi-tech stocks in Europe..ASML, Infenion, etc are the only ones I am think of

  3. You might wanna check out " TNO" Lyxor STOXX Europe 600 Tech. I think this is what you are looking for.

You can also check: "ESGE" Lyxor Msci Europe Esg leaders

Spotify and Crispr are European but US listed so included in ARK stuff.
There's plenty of "hi-tech" stocks in Europe, maybe not as many as in US but still plenty Delivery Hero, Ocado, Gigaset and a bunch of software companies as well. That was a pretty ignorant statement you made.

  6. Ok, it is rather "well-known" Europe lacks hi-lack stocks. Spotify yes, ASML yes, Infenion yes, Just Eat NO, others don't know. Just being in software doesn't make a company hi-tech. If you say names like SAP, which is a legacy software name still having transition issue, are hi-tech, then I have nothing more to say. Saying European market got hi-tech is similar to saying ASX/TorontoSE got hi-tech.

The fact that you don't know Delivery Hero is telling. They're pretty large with even a big presence in Asia and Latin America.
    It's Infineon btw, not Infeneon.
And I'm comparing "high tech" to what the ARK funds include in holdings.
There's also Amadeus IT, STMicro, Logitech, ASM, Nemetschek, Dialog Semi, Avast, Nokia, Ericsson, Rocket Internet, Criteo to name a few.
The fact that you don't know many tech companies in Europe doesn't mean they don't exist. As stated, not nearly as many as in US but still enough to go around.

  8. Ok, I am surprised names like Logitech, Nokia, etc are in Arkk as they aren't hi-tech in my opinion. I know hi-tech names like STM, NXP, but that OP asked about Arkk, which my impression calls for frontiter/cutting-edge tech, not just traditional hi-tech in some tech index. The real hi-tech in Europe are like Graphcore and ARM etc which aren't listed. Listed names are semi/semicap, with names like Dialog taken over. If you take out UK, only Germany/France/Holland got a few hardware names and legacy software names left over.
    Whatever man.

Zillow is in ARKK, what's high tech about Zillow by your standards then? So you're not talking about ARKK but your own subjective opinion that seems to change all the time.
And Nokia is high tech by any standard with Nokia Networks.

  10. Zillow and Open are trying to disrupt a traditionally human-human sector.
Nokia isn't hi-tech as it is a network operator, but QCOM and Broadcom are hi-tech.
Graphcore, ARM, ASML are the cream of the crop.
I only trade those listed in the US. I do trade tech names given the high relative IV.
Compared to China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, the tech weighting in Europe is very low. That reflects the old economy of Europe, heavily weighted by financials.
