not much difference today between hospitals and auto body shops, nothing they charge makes sense and they know you don't care because it is all paid by insurance

if it was up to me I would make health insurance illegal. You are responsible for your medical bills. If your bills exceed 10% of your income you pay 10% and we the people will pay the rest.

so basically it is single payer with a 10% (based on your income) deductable

Quite possibly, from a demographic/demand perspective. Maybe better if you factor in sensitivity to changes in interest rates.

  6. Who cares? Just get obamacare!

I think you will find, these new higher obamacare deductables will put pressure on routine medical expenses not covered

when these people figure out the first 2k is out of their pocket they will start asking around, and certain hospitals and doctors will get reputations

  9. Thanks for the info. I know nothing about obamacare other than seeing the occassional store front in Miami.

It is rather shocking to learn of deductibles. I thought it was free medical insurance like Canada.
