Apple retail stores in China are slowly getting back to business as 38 of the company’s 42 retail stores are now open in an attempt to normalize business despite coronavirus concerns. A review of the company’s retail web pages by Cult of Mac reveals Apple will expand business hours at 19 locations over the next couple of days and at least 6 stores will return to normal hours of operation. In nine days Apple has re-opened an additional 14 stores. Three of the four closed locations are located in Tianjin, a port city of over 15 million people in northeastern China. Apple does not yet have a reopening date for those stores while the fourth at Suzhou Center Mall is set to reopen March 11. https://www.cultofmac.com/689513/ap...ores-in-china-as-coronavirus-infections-fall/
They've got hospital capacity I believe, so loosing the reigns briefly then likely tighten again before it becomes unmanageable.
Yes. But it will become re-infected very likely from outside. I'm sure they have their epidemiological models and are weighing things up now more is known. If they can't contain, they will take the hit sooner or later of it spreading. There are two strains now, perhaps more so likely a less aggressive one that will give immunity to the original and this could be promoted. I don't try and predict the future in my trading like many, I just try and see the likely possibilities and know what I'll do in as many as I can. Effective randomness becomes predictable for moments and reverts back again etc. I know these things can be contained but this can mutate in an unexpected manner and so on. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.
They have restricted planes coming in from Iran, Italy, South Korea, Japan. Funny thing is: how was Singapore and Germany be able to have 0 death so far? Does it speak for their health systems or for their containment strategy? Anyway, impressive! Singapore had only a bit over 100 cases. See below.
I recall Germany's counted cases doubled a couple of days back. Singapore has 7 critical and of course can throw everything at them. The reports of central nervous system damage, possibly kidney and testicular need some thought, survivors of severe infections may not be in optimal health, this could leave quite a mark on thir lives going forward. That said generally older seem to get sickest so unlikely to be so worried about fertility.
I heard via the grapevine Sing keep patients on life support, they don't want negative publicity from deaths getting out.
