From Reddit: "ThaBaldYeti I live in Rochester, where Kodak was founded and is headquartered. All of our news stations debuted the story on the deal the day prior to it being public. There weren't specifics like dollar amounts or what the deal was for. We just knew that Kodak signed a huge deal with the "Pentagon" as the news stories reported. Then later that day I went to send the article to my father and all the news sites deleted their stories. I think most of Rochester bought stocks like crazy that day." ----------------------------------- "Chagrinnish A local news station sent out a tweet that Kodak would be making a "big announcement". There was even a post in r/pennystocks with that tweet in it. So either the news station was tipped off illegally by an insider or Kodak's corporate communications stupidly sent a notification to the station. Either way it's going to be difficult to prove insider trading for those who took advantage of the situation."
