notice any difference in the fills. i haven't noticed much. does the hidden order go in the arca or inet book. can anyone really see it?
im a new trader(3 months) and using tws. When i was studying order types and saw this i thought it wuz a joke(?). So....what's it, anyway???? ............ rj
many direct access vendors allow you to enter orders not seen by the market on a level 2 screen. i'm not sure if they show up in the ecn's own book which everyone can see. anyway i saw little difference in the fills. also i highly doubt ib would have it. its mostly in prop shop professional trype software
IB does list it. OK.... here's the link for the "hidden" order type on IB. http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/trading/orderTypesMatrix.php?ib_entity=llc#hidden .......... rj
I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours. Found them good to hit/take bid/offer (more size than shown) without moving the relative orders on the book. Your turn....
If it's a true hidden order, no one sees it, except the computer database keeping track of the order book. It will not show on the books. It will be executed last at the same price, even if entered earlier. That's the price you have to pay for not showing your hand.
I understand that you end up in the back of the bus..However do I see ALL the hidden orders? ..I have Inet, Arca, and Brut open book on my level II screen..Is this all the hidden's ( for these particular Ecn's ) or is their more?
