I’m sure you have noticed many spikes(bad trades) on the charts recently. I am seeing on multiple platforms which suggests to me that it is related to data feeds. Did SIPs introduce some new sale condition or started using a combination of sale conditions they did not use before? Wander when this would be fixed. @Databento , anything you aware of?
You have to show the image as there are spikes every day. And there are hundreds of Exchanges (regulated and unregulated) with millions of financial products (stocks, futures, CFD, etf ...). Some exchanges (eg Italy) tend to generate lots of spikes due to whatever reasons.
TSLA for example at 10:47 set high of 204.71. I looked through TWS feed and there were no "bad" trades. So I assume the sale conditions were not LAST eligible, but eligible to set High/Low. TOS: TWS:
I ain't seeing any spikes on Tradingview either. Why don't you sign into IB via TV and use their charts instead (TWS has the ugliest charts ever IMO)?
who ever is responsible for that data feed should be in jail. i would shoot them. you must understand that a lot of people blame the data feed . but the data feed is delivered some times through a middle man. and there in lies the rub
TLT has been having spikes also on TOS. TBT doesn’t have the spikes. Same with TSLA vs. TSLL. No spikes on TSLL. TOS/TDA issue. ***Might have something to do with Schwab taking control of TOS recently. I’ve had to reset my login page more than once the past few days. Never happened previously. Pretty sure it’s Schwab that regularly has crazy spikes with SPY during premarket trading on SSE.
