The President's "working group" to "stabilize" the markets - the Plunge Protection Team - what's the procedure? Do they just ring up Goldman Sachs and buy 20,000 e-minis for the Treasury account?
PPT is just a theory. IF they really do exist, they haven't acted yet, as there has not been a real crash (like 1987 or 1929), so severe that they had to intervene. Be aware that PPT is the excuse for those losers during short squeezes. Market plunges are very short lived, look at the long term Dow Jones chart: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=^DJI&t=my The clear long term is UP.
