Hi folks, I'm day-trading US stocks from the UK, using the new Dutch broker, Degiro. My experiences with Degiro have been generally excellent, but they are not (yet) designed for day-trading, and do not offer Level II, hotkeys etc. So, I am looking for a broker not subject to PDT (no comments on this please, we all have to start somewhere) which offers US market access with the full suite of requisite day-trading tools, i.e. an offshore broker. Clearly there are risks inherent with an offshore broker (no lectures please!). I am aware of Bahamas-based SureTrader, but they have a mix of both very good and very worrying reviews. Also their founder, Guy Gentile - I just can't work out whether he's bad news or not! Is there anyone out there from the United Kingdom currently (as of Dec 2017) using TradeZero? How would you rate them? How long have you been with them? Are they reliable with money transfers? Do you use the desktop trading platform? Is the desktop trading platform fast and stable? Is order execution fast and reliable? Thank you! Mike
I didn't know about them, Visaria - thank you. However, they have an account minimum of $10K (I have $5K). I will call them tomorrow to double-check. https://www.interactivebrokers.co.uk/en/index.php?f=4969 Meantime, would appreciate UK trader experiences with TradeZero if anyone has?
Bahama based. Not UK FCA registered. The questions you are asking above are the least of your concerns. I have a bargepole you can borrow if yours isn't long enough. GAT
GAT, I am aware of those factors, and I specifically acknowledged the risks in my OP. I am looking for *user experiences*.
