    Hello,

Anyone swing trading stocks in this market? Are you finding this market more difficult to swing trade and opportunities harder to find?

    Best regards,

I trade multiple time-frames, one being 2-14 day swings. On swings, I've found RSI 5-day, $NYAD, $NYUD, and $NYMO useful. RSI-5 and $NYMO had a positive divergence from the $SPX over the past few weeks. $TRIN over 2 has been reliable for a rally in 2-3 days. I also integrate medium-term timing indicators to try to figure out whether the next 1-2 month move will be down or up. For this, I like a combination of Investors Intelligence Bull/Bear survey, RSI 14-day, 14 day stochastic, and the average five day range of the NYSE $TICK. If the medium term looks bullish, I'll overstay on my long swings and stay only breifly on short swings. Vice versa if medium-term looks bearish.

I haven't found swing trading this market any easier or harder than average than during a typical medium-term correction.

    Hey Catalite,

I am your neighbor in Mississippi. I remember you from the chat room on elite and I believe we played chess together at ICC. It is good to hear from you! Good to see that you are still trading. You still play chess?

    Best regards,

Still playing chess! Now I play mostly on http://www.chesscube.com. Still trading too :). Pretty exciting couple of years. Kinda dull right this instant in comparison!
