Any experience with the Stock Trader's Almanac?

  1. Hello,

    I think I first heard about this publication from Marty Schwartz, but I simply forgot about it until recently.

    Since I utilize statistical data myself and trade the S&P500 (ES), I think I might find it interesting and possibly also get some new ideas for further research?

    Anyone familiar with and endorsing this publication? I see that there's an online service as well.

    Thanks in advance.

    During the last 12 years, I owned 3 or 4 ST Almanachs...
    Each year : same stories, same ideas, same stats...
    Is it useful ? No, because all information are already available on internet.
    Is it useless? No, because when you open it, you feel like Gordon Gekko with his own secret book. Definitely vintage :sneaky:.

  4. Thanks to both of you.

    Cool.

    Mind sharing how you use it or what kind of data you find of interest?

    Seeing the price I think I'm going to get it regardless. It seems to be right down my alley, so I'm sure I'll find some value in it for 30 bucks.

    Worth the money;
    for example , 3rd quarter in stocks tends to be bullish.Even though much of that info is online; i NEVER buy e-books. I print paper charts, 2.Wisdom is profitable to direct

    Very useful and it has spark some nice research ideas for me involving market tendencies. Money well spent but not everybody will agree...that's normal...that's the markets.
