SER-9295.pdf (cmegroup.com) Minimally-invasive, unless you trade weather futures. Some of them are up hundreds of percent.
A year ago, ES was $1.28. Next week it will be $1.38. I'd say that is a BIG increase. An IOM seat is very inexpensive for those that do more than 2000 futures per month. Might be worth buying or leasing one. Lower GLOBEX fees and no NFA fee. You will pay Pro market data. https://www.cmegroup.com/company/membership/membership-and-lease-pricing.html
CME are a very greedy monopoly, but the notional value of contracts like the ES has soared over the years. And the clearing firms and brokers have reduced fees or held them steady over the years as they not monopolies. I posted this on the other thread: Back in 2004 i was paying $5 round trip to trade $50,000 notional in ES (through IBKR) Back in 2019 i was paying $3.6 round trip to trade $125,000 notional in ES Now in 2024 (after this increase) i think i will be paying $4 dollars to trade $250,000 notional in ES.
