I skimmed 10 seconds of it because the video had Elite Trader in the title. Then I went back to listening to my music. Armchair psychologist who doesn't trade. As useful as a screen door on a submarine.
Psychology is a field at the front-and-center of the replication crisis. It's a field where the science is made up and facts don't matter. Never trust a psychologist.
maybe or maybe not...he did mentioned one of the characteristics of an elite trader, most at one point learn from a mentor at 14:00 minute into the video. do you believe in this statement?
dude enough with them stoopid songs. Steenbarger is a great trading psychologist... his book, imo, is actually a lot better than Mark Douglas'
In my case I do. My mentor was keen, and taught me some taut principles. And I made some good money with those principles. Unfortunately for all involved, he retired at end of 2017, right before the shit hit the fan on volatility. So for as much as his stuff works, it really doesn't work any longer, and has not. What worked through my mentoring no longer applies, because the markets went on a bender these past two years compared to the two years before that. Anyways, at least he traded.
I did not post any songs? I just mentioned I was listening to my music. Meaning, I paused listening to my bliss, to hear some of the video posted, and promptly went back to listening to my bliss because all I heard and saw was a guy in a bad tweed jacket going on about the same shit that trading psychologists constantly go on about. Was all I needed to hear to know that he is spouting.
How unfortunate that some people, be they traders or non-traders, cannot comprehend the most fundamental characteristic of success, that it all starts from within.
