Dismantling totalitarianism no brakes https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/16/world/americas/raul-castro-cuba.html Raúl Castro to Step Down as Head of Cuba’s Communist Party Mr. Castro said he will step down and pass on control of the party to Cuba’s younger generation. His departure will leave Cuba without a Castro at its helm for the first time in over 60 years. Cuba’s leadership will likely announce further reforms during the party congress, allowing for more free-market activity and reorienting the country’s economy further away from the austere, state-run model put in place after the revolution that brought Mr. Castro and his brother, Fidel, to power in 1959. The Communist Party has little choice but to reform or face rising discontent as Cuba faces its worst economic crisis since the 1990s, after the fall of the Soviet Union. By ushering in a new, younger political class, Mr. Castro hopes to set the country on a course to fully embrace and implement the economic reforms he introduced in the years since his brother Fidel — the leader of the revolution — died five years ago. Mr. Castro is seen as more pragmatic than Fidel, more willing to inch Cuba away from the Communist model that his brother championed, which provided the country with major developmental successes, including high literacy rates and quality health care for all Cubans, but has left the economy in shambles.
Cubans have the world's greatest auto mechanics, because they have had to keep 70 old cars running because of their fucking commie leaders. Seriously, the Cuba thing is just really old now. Fucking communism. Cuba will continue to be a shithole country as long as we allow them to be so. America the great. Fix the commies 90 miles off the US border, or cut them off completely. Fuck them, fuck the Castro family. For how many more generations do we have to hear about the Cuban Commies!!!!!
If the U.S. can have relations with China and meet North Korea then why not open relations with Cuba? 90% of the people dont give a shit about politics, they just want to live and eat. I support a family down there because even though they get to go to the doctor for free, there is no medicine for even simple swollen joints (I sent them a Costco sized Aleve). We let 30,000 Cubans in Miami control our foreign policy. We could achieve so much more if we opened relations and forced them to allow commerce and trade so that the citizens could work. Open access to internet and information and the U.S. could establish free trade zones to put plants for a pretty educated work force. Castros can go fuck themselves but the people are suffering and we already deal with Russia and China so the whole communism rationale is just bullshit.
That's a damn good question. It's not like they are far away. The Secretary of State needs to run a Boston Whaler down there under cover and pop a cap in the government's ass. So sick of this Cuban Commie shit.
I was laughing when seeing Trumps polls numbers, because they told me he would be a one term president Lollllz
