"Texas’ Harris County reports the man, in his 50s, was unvaccinated with a previous Covid infection and underlying health problems that put him at high risk of severe complications."

Congratulations, Houston Man, you beat Florida Man!!!

"it seems like his biggest underlying condition was his arrogance."

According to Harris County Public Health, the unvaccinated man had previously been infected with COVID-19 and had underlying health conditions that made him vulnerable to severe COVID-19.

I hope this remains a rare death for any Omicron infections regardless of the person's vaccination status. There are more deaths in Europe from Omicron for those not vaccinated. Thus, let's hope this Omicron bug hasn't figured out how to become more pathogenic after figuring out how to infect people regardless of their vaccination status and regardless of a person's prior recovery from a Covid infection.

If it does become more pathogenic...we were warned and had plenty of time to protect ourselves, family and friends.

Last of all, I would like to know what were those underlying medical conditions that doomed the person that ignored public health guidelines to get vaccinated to protect his high risk ass ???

They said it is 80% less likely that an infected ends up in hospital. But this number is not broken down between vaxxed and unvaxxed. The current 1.2K/day average dead is still mostly from Delta, and 30% unvaxxed is plenty material for a possible less severe but more infectious Omicron.

So overall the death numbers still can go up, even though most of us are vaxxed and not in danger.

Yeah… whatever… despite the re-direction from the Blaze that public health officials can only state he died “with Covid”. The family and others have already confirmed the man died from Covid and not another cause. We should also note that public health departments in Texas only generally confirm that someone died “with Covid” rather than “of Covid” — this also applied to thousands of other Covid deaths in Texas.

Massive non mask wearing, non-vaccination. The dude wasn't even fat anymore... Those type of people easily survive it with, you know.

He would do anything for life, but he won't do that...
