I was wondering what certifications you need to offer advice on stock trading. Is it the series 7 even though I am not taking the actual order?
You most certainly will need the 7. And that's just the start if you want to a 'stock analyst'. You'll need additional certifications such as the CFA. This is assuming you want to work at firm like Merrill Lynch. When I hear 'analyst' I assume that means at a major firm.
is there any reason to get any certification if trading is the only thing you want to do. (for a company)
