Funny, I'm trying to do the same because they've got 200+ industry indexes which I'd like to track real-time. Here's the software list I am in the process of trying out. http://www.trading-tools.com/real-time-quotes-downloader.htm http://www.trading-tools.com/real-time-quotes-downloader.htm http://www.analyzerxl.com/rtquotesxl.htm Here's another list of programs... http://www.filedudes.com/files/Excel_Stock_Quotes.html Realtime DDE from yahoo can be a bit tricky though. Very little to zero support. I'm only interested because of their indexes.
You can get a robust DDE feed from Market Feed for $23 dollars a month for 300 symbols... Real Time updates - 3 to 6 quotes every minute per symbol... Create your own indexes or follow specific Index symbols... etc... I subscribed for about 6 months... worked fine... consider...
One program I'm trying right now which seems pretty nice is "XLQ" by www.qmatix.com So far it's the best for my purposes.
Try this: http://www.gummy-stuff.org/Yahoo-data.htm Its not DDE but its free and I guess u can simulate multiple button presses to refresh continuously or say every 1 minute. Hope it helps
