AMZN kills plans for HQ in NY due to opposition

Who needs jobs!? Taxes are way more important than jobs.

 

Saw another article today about how NY is complaining that Florida is "stealing" its population. Well, no shit. Florida's 0 percent income tax is probably very attractive to the alternative of NY raping their taxpayers over and over again and not even having the common courtesy to give a reach around.

 

NYC can thank AOC for this.

Why is that Google invested $1 billion in office space in NYC but Amazon needs tax incentives?

Amazon incentives I agree are an over indulgence in corporate welfare. But I think NYC had to throw something at them to get them to agree to build their HQ in a really rundown area that was suffering. I think NYC went overboard but not enough to have the Socialist Democrats revolt and push Amazon out.
