Yeah, the ones who declared we were at a low only to get smashed by a couple hundred points after declaring a top and getting smashed by 300 spooz.
I thought all brokers applied exchange maintenance requirements for overnight?Amp act's like they didn't before
Not if the position is put on once globex reopens. It’s at the discretion of the broker for them to allow daytrade margin outside of RTH.
They had an odd rule on requirements. Overnight kicked in only for the last 5 minutes of RTH, or maybe the last hour? After that, once the market reopened at 6PM ET, they reverted back to daytrade margin, even if your position was open the previous day. Thus the reason for the updated rule.
Thought I would add this in here. My friend who is a doctor @ an Ontario hospital got pulled into a meeting today. Ontario is likely to go into a lockdown tomorrow. I would like to short the TSX futures but they don't open until 2am and the announcement could be as soon as tonight. Are there any other trades I can structure at this current moment to take advantage of this? Thanks
