Private sector law enforcement has been around a long time. Sentences in medieval England often read "turned over to the Barkeeper"... I guess the Barkeeper could put people to work or something...
Hmmm⦠Seems bizarre to me to spend more money than youâre going to collect to put people in jail. Sure it may serve as an example, but financially itâs hurting states.
Not only prisons... now the probation system is for-profit and run by private companies. Poor offenders pay high price when probation turns on profit http://www.wral.com/poor-offenders-pay-high-price-when-probation-turns-on-profit/15526129/
Policing for profit, jails for profit, etc... This is fully fascistic if you define that as a melding of government and business. We have that in spades simply because the government is so incredibly large. People I know that do well in business are selling stuff to the public sector. They don't really care what the price of stuff is. I define Fascism as having a few characteristics: --business and government working together to conspire against the people --internal socialism and external anti-communism --authoritarian towards the people --worship of government and downplay of God Socialists come on here and throw the "Fascist" word around when their favorite vehicle, the Democratic party, is pretty much the epitome of National Socialism.
