The previous cap was paired with stock compensation, which vested over the course of several years at the company. It is unknown if the higher cash salary cap will affect the other portions of that compensation package, according to The New York Times. The increases reported Monday cover corporate and technology workers, and there have been no announced increases to the pay of warehouse workers and delivery drivers, who earn an average of about $18 per hour, the Times reported. I’m shocked that the max base wage was not over 300k to begin with. Surely there are lots of people at Amazon with 500k salaries

Sounds like left wing equality BS to me. My guess is Apple (and most other firms) would see no problems if the ones not worthy of a bonus left on their own accord.
