What Happens When An Amazon Drone Fails To Deliver http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-12-02/what-happens-when-amazon-drone-fails-deliver http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPbY5U6Qe-s&feature=player_embedded
The first time one of these delivery drones crashes and injures someone while delivering a package - will mean the end of wide-scale drone delivery of packages for the upcoming decade.
Forget the doubters, commercial drones are here to stay http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...mmercial-drones-are-here-to-stay/?tid=up_next Good article which includes this TED video. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/4ErEBkj_3PY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
How could this even be profitable for Amazon to do? You would think the cost of repair and buying the drones alone would be way too much unless they charge a fortune for shipping. But hey if it works maybe I can get a drone 747 to deliver some packages from the States to here in India?
Theft concerns will probably prevent this from ever happening. Just throw a rock at the thing and steal the package. Unless, of course, every one of them is equipped with a little gun in which case no-one will be messing with it. Thatâs probably not gonna fly though, no pun intended.
