They're all coming down lol.... but here's a granny portfolio for anyone who cares. QSR $63.22 ((The Dollar General of losing food operations... but the land Scarlett. And BK has been going heavy on the advertising. Tims are being shut down faster than I can type. "Go Canada." When's the earnings report? Wait for it) TTD $50.26 (our "more than likely" going lower... but still a solid multi-year tech play) CPRT $59.68 (Up nicely from $53ish where I gave it its own thread a few weeks ago --- once again "Land Scarlett." But this one is also in the right place at the right time.) ABT $130 ---- Yeah I know Cramer has been pumping this thing, but he got it from me at $103. I've followed it forever. It's almost as solid as Krogers. FITB --- $34 --- Your financial play. Don't expect great things from this dog, but with a 4.3% divy... have granny just use a drip program... And hope she lives another 5 years. It's not going away. HHH---$66.35 One of these days Ackman will be right. Multi-family RE is gonna be a big thing going forward. TKO--- $149 Wait for earnings on this bloated pig... but it is a Trump stock. Plus I called it out about 6 months ago at $80ish. HP--- $20.59 --- And no it has nothing to do with Hewlett Packard lol, despite the ticker. Helmerich & Payne, Inc. It's our energy play. Not the best cashflow/balance sheet, carrying some debt for sure. but a 5% dividend and a PE of about 7. P/S of about .70 and an EV/Ebitda of about 3.7. But it was founded in like 1920 so... whatever. It's not going away. It trades at around1/2 the price of XOM. Probably for good reason, but wtf. ______________________________________ ET has gotten waaaay to political for my liking... but I thought I'd log in and throw some ideas out here for fun. The hate and division here messes up my karma. Idiots. But whatever. If you want some speculative adds to the above... use SNAP and Reddit. Either way, like I said in the first sentence, we are going lower so time your entries accordingly. These are stocks for the 20 something's that have a 20 year horizon. If they even exist.
If you want my very expert opinion 2 cents, you are too diversified. You only need to become a master at one thing, the broad market Sand&P. Become a Specialist, not General Practioner and the money will fall on your head before you are dead
Diversifying over a large number of stocks doesn't mitigate risk. In a bear market all stocks fall. The best way to control risk is to have a method of getting out of stocks in a down market.
The best way to control risk is to make money from it. Not run away from it. Think about this for a moment along with your overall approach to trading. And your mind will glimmer with a bit more vibrancy. Play games you can win, that are carved, molded and crafted towards your understanding. And leave true gambling chance to casinos.
Gold stocks (AEM) are doing fine, Some telecommunications (T) & health (CVS). But equities look suspicious in a bear market, Might rather be the next stocks to short. Best diversification is long/short. Respect the 200 & 50DSMA. Cash is also an option. Timing … hehe
No European, Chinese or Japanese stocks? No currency diversification? I'd normally bet on the US, but now...?
i don't understand why you don't just get a money manager with a solid track record. there are good ones out there, btw your picks are foolish.
