Alternative to VGA Splitters?? (Trading Floor Question)

  1. I know many (most every) prop firm with a trading floor has only one Bloomberg "on the floor" and one cable box. They then split up that Bloomberg terminal and cable box feed into many VGA feeds to broadcast the same desktop or TV station to every trader on the whole floor. (and sometimes remote)

I have a couple of older shops that are using very old, analog, non-digital (legacy) hardware to do this and I'm wondering what newer prop firms are using these days... Are they using VNC and using Thin Clients or Smart TVs or are they still running VGA and audio splitters (as well as amplifiers)?

There are many options out there and I'm just curious as to what the shops are using these days. Usually I find that when prop firms get funded for trading floors they have a "no expense spared" mentality that is foolish and overkill - so I'm wondering what they are considering "the latest and greatest" these days.

    Cheers!
