UV-A and UV-B rays worked wonders on everything back in my 7th-grade science class. After working with the dead animals in biology, we'd put our goggles and gloves into this box filled with UV bulbs. Close the doors. After 5 minutes on the timer? Trap is green, products are clean. There are two things in this universe that kill organic life that we can readily access. UV lamps, and chlorine. Easy-peasy.
