Yes, Biden said that we would still have "over the horizon capability" and this episode is touted as an example of such and therefore we could withdraw. On the other hand- the part he does not emphasize- is that he very much touted the fact that Al Queda was gone and out of AFG and that AGF was no longer a center of planning and operations for Al Queda so we could withdraw. Not so much on that part. I was in favor of withdrawing from AGF (minus the cut and run disaster) but don't need to come up with bogus reasoning.
