It does lack diversity on it's own and it can be predictable. Different A.I's will reveal same patterns for answers. No, not dumber. My experience is that accuracy is improving. It’s all a function of one’s system prompt, how effectively one manages the context window and how well one craft’s their prompts.
When chatGPT just started, it couldn't get the cube root of 8 right. It takes resources i.e. training hours to make it better. Businesses usually look for the cheapest solution.
I don't think it's making anyone dumber. But it is exposing that those in the lower percentile of IQ are not needed and as the cycle repeats those remaining will shed the lower percentile and so on.
i think people are dumb about how to prompt ai, and that's ok but a choice if you stay stagnant. its' completely dependent upon your communication skills what it returns.
So now we won't have to worry about the 10s of millions of jobs that are going to disappear within the next 5-10 years due to the advancements of ai
