AFL and OXY

  1. I am currently long pretty sizable amounts both AFL and OXY and currently have about 24% and 18% gains in both respectively. My questions is at what point would you start taking the gains? they both dont have any short term resistance and are both going against the market with great strength (they continued to rally during the debt limit debate)

My initial thought is to just continue to hold both until a lower low is made, but that means sacrificing a lot of the gains and wondering if anyone else had any ideas

  2. I own both AFL and OXY.
These are excellent dividend growth companies. I will NEVER sell them, will collect and re-invest the dividend for the next 35 years until I retire, and then spend the dividend while in retirement.

Like Warren Buffet, my preferred holding period is forever.
