  1. To calm yourself and slow down in this tumultuous time, I find Advaita and meditation useful.
I have seen many short explanations what Advaita is, aside from the orthodox scripture referencing ones. My favorite is as follows; Who am I and who are you, dear questioner? the way Advaita sees you as “Life” and I see myself through Advaita lens as “Life”, etc Life as such has no individuality, no name, form, address and trading account. As an aspirant you see your life as temporal to be enjoyed, you want luxury, independence. You want to accumulate, trade and win.
In reality Life has no beginning and no end as such, things may die but things reborn in various forms. Even Universes die and then new ones come about. Life in your individuality is an subject object relationship that eventually both must be resolved as you start living and understanding DEEPLY Advaita. Object and subject are one, and as such you as you disappear. You start seeing Life as bigger than individual life. Thinking this way Money, trading winning or losing loses its importance.
My teacher (in India) wrote a book (I am the publisher) the title is Fuelless Fire: a Guide to Happiness. He also has a website on facebook. https://neevselfinquiry.in/
