ActiveTick Data Problems & Lack of Support

  1. Hi All,

    This post is directed more at those who are current users of ActiveTick's data feed, but if you aren't, and you have been in the past, please also provide comments.

    I have been using AT's data for several months now, and I haven't noticed too many issues. Lately, though, I am starting to see lots of bad data (huge price drops or spikes) in their weekly charts. I finally was able to get a hold of them and their response was "we know about this, so please use the daily charts as they are ok." Well, the daily charts also have issues. Just yesterday I noticed that the SPY one minute chart had a data issue for about an hour.

    I have constantly emailed them, tried to chat, and am not getting the response that I would hope for. They should be able to fix these data issues because I am not the only experiencing issues.

    Can anyone chime on on their experience with AT's support? Is this a "one person" company who truly doesn't care about their customers? Has anyone switched from AT and moved to another provider, if so, which one did you choose?

  2. Welcome to the ActiveTick experience. I've used them as a back up feed for a few(?) years. I would describe them just as you have.
     
  3. Amazing to see how often I am not able to get feed from this service! For example, this entire weekend I have not be able to get any historical data from ActiveTick. I'm definitely going to begin looking for a new data supplier...
