This isn't the first time the ACLU sued over NSA data collection. They did it under Bush, too. But this is the first suit over the current NSA (I'll call it a) scandal.

The American Civil Liberties Union on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against the Obama administration over its “dragnet” collection of logs of domestic phone calls, contending that the once-secret program — whose existence was exposed by a former National Security Agency contractor last week — is illegal and asking a judge to both stop it and order the records purged.

The lawsuit, filed in New York, could set up an eventual Supreme Court test.

As brother Bob Dylan said, these times they are achangin'.
Next thing you know the ACLU will be teaming up with the Tea Party.

Finally some liberals get off the totalitarian bandwagon and get back to being classical liberals.

This was getting really fricken scary.
I was concerned all the liberals became soviet oppressive big govt chavez and obama types.

Not maybe the obama apologists leftist will start accepting what we have been warning them about.
