AAL, DAL, UAL, BA, JETS - Plunge Monday?

Anyone know the cause of the plunge in the airline industry this past Monday? And what's with all the volume? It's very choppy. AAL below as a representative example, but this is the the tape for all of 'em.

I can't find a definitive story; I was hoping something would surface by now. There's this UAL story about how they're ordering more planes, about how airlines are hiring for summer travel... but nothing that would explain the nasty industry-wide plunge. I could understand if it were just one airline... but the whole industry? I thought that the airlines were coming back? It's eerily quiet... a little sus.

I'm starting to see a dead cat bounce form today (Wednesday) but it looks like it's got more to run... it raises an eyebrow.

One about to go belly-up? B*******y? Grant funding about to be removed? Plane crash? What gives?

Anyone with access to a BBT able to check the CDS curve for these guys?

Sector rotation is my guess. Earnings are coming up for Q2.
