What if the Qataris gave Trump the 747 (after he asked for it) in exchange that he would privately encourage Israel to attack Iran and then get the US involved so that oil prices would go up. 400mm would be worth like 400bn in a few weeks. think about it. Israel attacks like 3 weeks after the jet deal. Trump knew about it as he put US embassies on high alert and Trump is backpedaling on on his core political tenet of America First that we don’t get involved in foreign conflicts.
Qatar is is a LNG economy, 70 to 80 percent of their hydrocarbon exports are gas though surrounded by oil countries. They share their gas field with Iran, might be some intregue there. If Iran collapses they have a hell of a lot of new variables to worry about. Qatar has thrived on bring predictably stable. Trump is Trump First so can't put anything past him.
Perhaps you nut jobs should investigate something less far fetched... maybe something involving aliens? At least it would make a decent Hollywood script.
That will be in The Apprentice 2. All Trump ever wanted to be was Barron Hilton and then Harvey Weinstein when he learned what is real appetites were. "I give my actresses the best close encounters, ask anyone".
Serious question... All the energy stocks aside... lets say next Tuesday, in the middle of the trading day, the Bloomberg terminals light up with "The U.S. just bombed Forda." What is the SPX gonna do? Drop then climb back up? If so, then we as "elite traders" should set daily limit orders to buy the the SPX at 7%+/- below the current price. Or 4%. Or wherever ya'll think it would bottom at on that kind of news. Or... would it go up? Inquiring minds.... BUT... that is a good idea for a daily strategy in the next two weeks. Any attack will occur at night, and I think they are about 8 or 9 hours ahead of us... so if Trump does act, it'll be smack dab in the middle of the trading day. Unless it's at 2 AM Iran time. In that case... take note pajama ES folks. EDIT... +8.5 Eastern Daylight time.
how is this far fetched. Pardons go for 1mm. Managing government solar, EV credit policy, and space program contracts went for 100MM. Perhaps it only costs 400mm for the US to go to war. And Zelenskys “lack of respect” was that he didn’t bring the title to those buggatis his wife bought.
if we bomb Iran, vol will go bananas and who knows what the market will do. We could have a 10percent selloff. Oil is a tax on the consumer. Like a tarrif.
Can I be honest... your sense of humor is terrible. Well, at least it's not universal. The problem is it's too predictable and transparent. Maybe try to add an element of surprise. You know what might work... if all of a sudden you deadpanned serious support for Trump. Just spitballing.
