A slow motion hydrogen bomb went off in Texas.

  1. It's called the sun. But no one wants to really believe that storms are getting stronger due to the trapping of Co2 gases in the atmosphere.

How many more of these 100 year storms that come every ten years, how many more lives ruined or lost, will it take before we take action?

On Monday, billions of dollars will be wiped off the stock market with insurance companies at the top of the list. Oil prices are going to be bid $2 higher on the open, along with it's derivatives also being bid higher.

Nation's 4th-largest city is facing epic flooding

  3. What you should know now
    • Storm strength: Downgraded to a tropical storm as it drifts over the state. Track the storm here.
    • Casualties: A person died in a Rockport house fire and a woman was swept away by floodwaters in Houston.
    • Damage: 250,000 without power on Sunday, many roads impassable.
    • Flooding: First responders in Houston rescuing people stranded by high water.

Ironically, most of the people in Rockport don't have insurance. I'm from Texas, and I am from part of where it hit. Not too far off from the eye.

Houston is where the construction money is going to go. Rockport is a shotty town with the only saving grace being the ocean.

Rockport can disappear and no one would blink an eye, but Houston has millions in the city and surrounding areas.
Refineries are closed along League city, and I don't see gas available to any of Texas residents for a few days.

This is bad, and CNN speculation doesn't cover the half of it.

The gulf coast has had many of these storms through the decades and centuries. The problem is population and attendant structures keep growing and the wetlands which have provided buffer are being destroyed.

Most people don't understand a crisis until it hits your front door.

Why don't you speculators come take a visit to the coast? It's not pretty.

Atleast, we are much more prepared than New Orleans. This could've been very deadly.

Thank you for the post, but I can see it all real time.

Did you take any action on all the stuff you have seen in real-time? Did you go long gas or oil? Did you short or long gold? What is your point here? Many of the folks here have seen disasters, both by God and man-made. Oh, I get it, this is the first time you have ever heard of a hurricane hitting the U.S. mainland.

Clearly, it doesn't matter what positions I take if I don't survive.
