The USS Winston Churchill and the USS Cook referenced there are Arleigh Burk Class destroyers built at Bath Iron Works in Maine near my hometown when I lived in Maine. Just as an important aside, we lost another one - the USS Fitzgerald- in one of the recent U.S. Navy clown shows which not only resulted in loss of life but obviously a reduction in readiness. Fortunately, you can see from this article that Mad Dog takes these things seriously. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/...micide-charges-collisions-20180116-story.html
I see this as a good thing. There is no remote possibility that anything could go sideways. Not with our Navy. We did have a navy ship attacked mercilessly by planes and torpedo boats in the eastern med. It wasn't the Syrians doing it however. https://theintercept.com/2017/06/06...details-of-israels-uss-liberty-attack-secret/
