I have to admit. Those are words I have not heretofore seen. The woke-sters have encroached on to Boston Common with some artistic piece of sh#t that is baffling to many - including or should I say "especially" MLK admirers. What is especially irritating in this scenario is that during the BLM riots the scumbags desecrated a bronze statute/memorial type plaque located just a matter of feet away from this current monstrosity. They did it because- well white people, colonialism - the usual tripe. The problem is all of the rioters are ignorant fucks who are too busy having sex and taking and selling drugs to ever educate themselves. They did not have the slightest clue that the 54th Massachusetts Regiment which was memorialized in that statue/plaque was 100% comprised of black volunteers- with the exception of the officer. Men who mostly died in the first few days of the war. Yeh, I have posted this before. That is because I am pissed. Then they put that MLK monstrosity on the Commons and even his relatives cannot figure out what in hell it is. Who comes out happy when that is done? Not those who want to show respect to MLK. Not Bostonians who have to fight like hell to preserve what they have and prevent the Commons from becoming the latest place to have a statute of George Floyd shooting up. Just shaking my head. Yeh, I am traditional New Englander. Deal with it. It's just bullshit on steroids. (as an aside, one time I was right there in that area of the Commons many years ago and I was walking with a lib girl from Smith College. There was a "Lesbian Picnic" going on. Some frisbee throwing and football throwing etc. Fat lezbos. No bra, butch haircut type of thing. And I said: "Too bad I do not have a load of sweatshirts in the car to sell. Looks like I could make a quick buck." Heh, she laughed and tried to pretend to be pissed as required by lib rules but she got my drift. Hey, I didn't ask her laugh.) https://www.eastidahonews.com/2023/...tta-scott-king-prompts-mockery-and-criticism/
Our capital. Probably €500 000 in todays money. From, tax payers, ofcourse. Modern Art. Modern Art. Modern Art. Modern Art. Word. Word. Word.
Don't get me wrong, some of it can be, truly, beautiful. https://www.google.com/search?q=bea...android-google&prmd=isvn#imgrc=pYBlwyDDuJhZGM And at larger scale, like 100 feet tall, would be, wow, breath taking. Such art would make us proud of being Homo Sapiens. But. A damn, rusty pipe. I better don't think about it. Causes a headache. P.s ,,Creativity, is not a creativity, if only you can understand it" And citizens of our capital were like, - ,,Da heck is this"
I have to tell you something. I live around here, and I understand the message they were trying to send, but the sculpture is just awful. From no angle anywhere does it remind me of two people in a loving embrace. It's an eyesore.
There's no way the sculptor didn't see it. The guy/gal is obviously talented and knew what they were doing. I can see they were going for Kapoor's "bean" from Chicago but the abstraction should've been corrected instead of injecting controversy from lackluster execution.
