From what I've learned, people can basically pay the fine (tax-thanks John roberts:mad: ), vs get the communism insurance, THEN if they get sick, they can simply sign up, and go get treatment. This is setting up to make medicine in America as fucked up as a soup sandwich.

And they wonder why premiums have spiked. What a bunch of assclowns.

  4. I am not sure about this

So in the beginning they opt to pay the fine and they have to wait until year end to pay the fine

But if they get sick before year end, they can sign up????

    I don't think so....

  5. Even if they can sign up after the fact, they still have to meet the deductible, right? I don't see how this helps the poor either way. If they can't afford it now, they sure as hell won't be able to afford it just cause they got sick.
I think we're missing the master plan. The idea all along was knowing the poor and the young/healthy would pay the fine rather than sign up. That's free money for Uncle Sugar. Then they tell us that those who are insured we will have to pay more to keep the plan afloat. More money for Uncle Sugar. It was never supposed to be anything other than a money generating machine for the governement. It does not address any of the real issues surrounding heathcare costs, and was never intended to. Just another tax, plain and simple.
Now that they've floated this, the next thing is an energy comsumption tax/fine. You'll be alloted so much per year for your home. Exceed it and pay the fine. Next they'll control your food consumption, all in the guise of advocating health. Easy enough to scan what you're buying, goes into a data base. Too many carbs fat boy. You pay the fine. Too many trips to McD, you pay the fine. You shouldn't complain. They're just looking out for your best interests. They'll tell us it will lower healthcare costs. It's coming, and it's coming right quick. The boyz are broke, and they need the cash.

You nailed it about those who are already financially challenged not being able to pay out of pocket co-pays, deductibles, etc. So the doctors, hospitals, clinics merely pass along those losses to the rest of us. And then factor in those who show up at the ER ... from illegals to those who choose to not buy insurance (and pay the fine). More expenses that get passed on to us in the form of even higher premiums.
