The impact of driverless vehicles will be profound and impact almost every part of our lives.

I love tech as much as the next geek, except these prognostications omit one tiny detail where we have to double the power transmission capacity of the bulk electric grid ... uh ... and then more than double electric generation capacity if vehicular gas/diesel are outlawed as SiVal Touts want since battery energy density economics/safety cannot yet compete in a competitive market where consumers are free to choose what they believe is best for them.

Where will all that transmission & generation capital investment come from?

How long will it take to build?

Power company load shedding pleas are now an annual summer and winter media event here ... while we continue to decommission more and more baseload plants.

Um and this must be done ... first.

And of course the people that are expected to pay for all this are to be given no choice by the new central planners as clearly they know what is best for each of us. (And this moves ahead while even the electric vehicle proponents admit the massive savings in collisions and lives can't happen unless ALL vehicles are driven autonomously by computers. How lucky for the folks selling EVs!)

I can hear the claims at the next election cycle ... "If you like your car, you can keep your car!!!"

Where do I donate to support CALEXIT?
