  1. Some interesting points.

    2) Experiences are more valuable than goods.

    3) Who your spouse will be is the most important career decision you will ever make.

    4) Three skills to money: Making it, Keeping it, Growing it. They are very different skills.

    8) Try really hard to not care what people think. This is too hard for me but I’m learning.

    13) Anger is not a real emotion. It is fear clothed. Figure out what you are afraid of before you get angry.

    15) Try to be creative once a day. Creativity is a muscle. There’s no such thing as inspiration.

    41) The fewer things you own, the fewer things own you.

    43) If you meet someone who you know hates you, shake their hand, smile, and pretend you don’t remember their name.

    52) 1% compounded every day is 3700% in a year. Figure out the 1% you want to improve on every day.

  2. ElCubano

    ElCubano

and the number 1) Cowboys Suck!!!!

  3. This is our year, honest.......this is the year we do it......as long as Romo does not get injured,
Dez Bryant does not get injured, the new backup QB is not a washout, the offensive line protects Romo, no one gets arrested for drunk driving and we don't have anymore players come up positive on a urinalysis. Oh yeah, you can add shoplifting and wife beating to the list too.

If we can get past those hurdles, and nothing new pops up.....the Cowboys will be Superbowl bound.

Being over 50 let's me know a few things:

    Yes, Dallas sucks
But then again so do the Dolphins
    Ravens are irrelevant
    Bungles are..well.. the Bungles
Steelers will hoist the Lombardi this year

    ... and fuck the Patriots

Looking back at 50 as I quickly approach 60yo.

    1) You only retain 1–2% of anything people teach you in a class or in books. If I knew this, I would have walked away from most people.
    2) Experiences are more valuable than goods. If you don't have the goods, there won't be any experiences.
    4) Three skills to money: Making it, Keeping it, Growing it. They are very different skills. If you made it you have too many "friends", all people happy to help you spend it and ALL eventually ask for a loan, Same line I give all "I am not a bank, go there for loans."
    6) Sleeping eight hours a day is really important. Regardless of the scientific reason. If you are sleeping now, enjoy it, as you get older it gets tougher.
    7) Eat smaller portions. Every year you live, reduce portion size. Else you get fat no matter how much you exercise. How many real fat men you see walking around in their 60's?
    8) Try really hard to not care what people think. I never cared what people think, those willing to make changes in their life and risk so little can make huge opportunities for themselves.
    10) Google people before you meet them. Unless they can juggle while putting on their clothes, then I am interested in even meeting her.
    13) Anger is not a real emotion. Anger is about not accepting you have weaknesses.
    17) All diets are BS. Avoid processed sugars. Eat less. I am on a diet, lost 179 pounds in 2.75 years, for the cows out there-you are going to die ugly if you don't drop the weight, Please give pallbearers a hand by losing weight.
    18) When you read, you can absorb the entire life of another person in a few days. Might as well read a lot.Why read about others, you should be working at life experiences so others will write about you.
    19) Happiness = Reality / Expectations Bullshit, Happiness not being in bed most of my 50's from illnesses.
    22) Sex is a painkiller. Only when you overweight.
    26) Watch a lot of comedy. Try to watch comedy every day. Laughter cures diseases.
    27) If someone’s feet are angled away from you while they talking to you then they don’t want to talk to you. That's why I walk like a penguin.
    34) This is a job: You create X in value: Your boss takes 10% of that. The company takes 10% of that. Taxes take 40% of what’s left. Housing takes 1/3 of what’s left. Eating, commuting, one vacation a year, clothes, takes almost all of what’s left. Which is why we most people have no savings. Most likely you obese, you ate your boss so that SOB won't be taking the 10%.
    40) Quantity is more important than quality. Quality is a byproduct of quantity. Picasso created 50,000 words of art. How dumb is this? I bought a Quasar microwave like 35 years ago, and still working.
    42) The more good things you do, the more people will hate you (but reverse not always true).Doesn't matter what age you are.
    43) If you meet someone who you know hates you, shake their hand, smile, and pretend you don’t remember their name. Hell no, run up to him and welcome him like that guy was on deserted boat for five years and tell him all the things you have done. And laugh as often as you can.
    49) To make someone happy: tell them they can have what they want, Bullshit, they want a loan from me they don't have to repay.

  6. You should write a book ......I bet it would be interesting.

BTW, the Cowboys are off to a bad start.........again.........our backup QB2, Kellen Moore broke his ankle yesterday.........he will be out a few weeks.

If it's not one thing, it's another.
