I'm considering getting a 4k TV for my home gym so I can try to get some workouts in during lunchtime and still watch most of the charts I watch at my desk. Thinking 4k TV only because they are a lot cheaper than 4k monitors. How do you connect to those? Most laptops I've owned in the last several years have a mini-DP output port, but no HDMI. Are there any 4k TVs with a DP port? Any additional tips from folks who have or are watching charts on 4k screens in their home gym?
I've not seen DP on a TV, but you can get either DP-HDMI or mini DP-HDMI cable... assuming of course your laptop outputs 4k.
Micro PCs are a good idea for this application. Besides, I just checked my old laptop's discrete graphics specs - it cannot do 4k, so I need to upgrade the PC anyway.
I just use a tablet I can take anywhere, but hard to argue a tablet would be more awesome than a 4k tv.
It doesn't matter. If you can't already make yourself do workouts without a 4k TV then just forget it. Having a better tv isn't going to make you anymore productive than you already are. Might as well save your money since you're probably not the best trader either.
It is easy to do multi-tasking. But there are consequences. It is very difficult to do one thing at a time. But I think Ok to do home exercise & watch TV program about bouncing boobs.
To second this, my office actually has workout equipment. So I just need to move my lazy ass 6 feet and I can do a full workout. More heavy stuff is in the basement.
