I am changing jobs, just wondering if it would be possible to rollover my 401k to my Oanda trading account. I probably would not want to do the full amount, but would consider rolling a portion over to it.
honestly, it might be more hassle than it is worth... you would have to create a self-directed IRA/401k and then have that create an LLC and open as a corporate account... but why go through all that when there are fx shops that will let you trade your IRA... also, keep in mind that IRA's wont let you leverage for FX (they can not borrow)... so the only way to trade FX with leverage would be "borrowing" up to $50K frmo the 401k plan before one leaves the company and use the loaned funds to trade ... the check from the 401k would have to be cut from the plan before the last day and also, one needs to find out what are the rules with regards to loans once one is no longer a empl by the co... I am not recommending you do it, just stating how I would do it..
