That's crazy especially for a small market like Buffalo. Sure right now they are good and all they need is Mahomes to fall off and they might make the Super Bowl but it seems wreckless. I guess the public money to fund the new Stadium probably spurred them to do it. It reminds me of the SF Giants when they moved from Candlestick Park to PacBell Park and gave a huge contract to Barry Bonds. Of course in retrospect it was a good deal for them. I still remember the first free agent deal in MLB when Jim "Catfsh" Hunter got a few million per year in 1975 I believe to go from the Oakland A's to the NY Yankees. Of course soon afterwards Reggie Jackson, Craig Nettles (Cleveland) & Paul Blair (Baltimore) signed with the Yankees.
