Thats $15 billion less a week consumers get to spend on coffee, games, pizza, and clothes

Yep these articles are coming about just as millions of people are about to lose their enhanced unemployment benefits next week. Most are worried that those extra billions will stop and that it will create a bit of a problem for the consumer to keep spending happily while 2/3 made more unemployed than they were working. The say they will end this program which I think is not possible at this point, what they may do is take it down a few notches from $600 bucks and still continue the program, how could they not, its free money going into consumers hands to keep the gravy train chugging along. Anyways eliminating the enhanced unemployment benefits is most likely not going to happen even though some say it will.

Good. A vast quantity of them are using it as a paycheck and refusing to work because of it. This has actually hurt small businesses whose employees dont want to come back to work because of it. Why should taxpayers continue supporting these lazy people?

Dumbass Congress should never have written it into the bill in the first place. They should have just given everyone their normal weekly paycheck while not working.

Taxpayer’s paying for it ? You must be crazy . You must have been sleeping the last 4 months . We can print 10’s of trillions with no consequence. Rates still at all time lows . This will never end until there’s consequences for printing like Venezuela or Zimbabwe. The cats out of the bag .For every bad action there must be a reaction . We’ve had a reaction in all these decades .

Well they needed to boost consumer spending so it was free money for all and I can guarantee you it will continue, there is nooooooo way they eliminate the weekly enhanced benefits next week. I just see it as impossible to do so. What they may do is drop it to say $300 extra a week. But no way does it drop to just basic unemployment benefits. They know they are getting a free economic boost by handing out these tens of billions of dollars each month.

And thats what I dont understand. How did Venezuela and Zimbabwe end up with insane ludacris high flying inflation and here in the US after printing unlimited amounts of money still can contain what they say is 2% inflation????????????????????

Can we get an economist to answer this question.

The market will drop like a rock if need be to force the hand. If in fact the hand needs to be forced.
