I want to buy a 24" monitor having 1920*1200 resolution but am not able to find one at any of the stores like Staples, Office Depot, Frys, SAMs Club, etc. All of these stores only carry 24" monitor with 1920*1080 resolution. Does anyone know why?

Any suggestions from where can I buy a 24" (1920*1200) Samsung or HP monitor?

    Thanks!

  2. 1920x1080 is "full HD" (so why would anyone want/need the "1200" vertical?)... and are cheaper than 1920x1200. Most stores are into lower price points.

If you want an OK one for low price ($249 AR), check out Asus VW266H

If you want a hi quality display, HP LP2475W.. about $550.

1920x1200 is definitely better than 1920*1080 for most uses, but the manufactures have figured out that people are stupid and think that “full HD” is better when it is obviously worse resolution by over 11%. There are a number of choices for 24” at 1920x1200 but it all depends on your budget. The NEC is the best but it is $1000 while the Samsung 2443 is closer to $300. The Asus vw266h is 25.5 inches and 1920x1200 and is under $300 with a rebate. Go to tiger direct, newegg, and amazon and you can read reviews of various ones.

Outstanding! Now, just hope my Wife comes home in a good mood since I was supposed to be washing the dogs, but am on ET. Maybe she will understand if I tell her none of the four dogs wanted a bath? Lol!!!!!!!

Btw, where could I find a stand that would accomodate 6 of these, and be a strong, sturdy stand? Having $3,000 in monitors fall over for whatever reason would not be good. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...etail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-8277

  5. That's good for your stock on ET.. :D

  8. HP products should be available from HP Direct.

I used it to buy my latest HP laptop and it worked very well.
