Never buy below 200DMA is a rightful tenet. What if there's a discrepancy between 200 DMA/day and 200 DMA/week? Case of TLT at the time of this posting.
So what are we supposed to do...Sell below the 200MA? This is the stupidest thing I have heard in quite a while during this bull market.
TLT still going up gently. don't blindly sell below 200 dma. simply remove all MAs. then you have one less problem to deal with.
Stupid is as stupid goes. Maybe not buy TLT too early? If you don't have anything positive to contribute, just STFU
Make it a 400 MA then on whatever timeframe. Whatever fits your beliefs, dude! What do the stock's fundamentals tell you?
Fundamentals pretty strong in my view. But I trust Mr.Market's view more than my own. Which is why I use TA
Not selling. Building up bullish position. That's why I ask. Does it make sense to build a bullish position below the 200 daily Moving average.
Fundamentals first. If there's no clear fundamental reason for the price to behave so, then ,,it makes sense" to build a bullish position. (Talking about equities. Given the brrrRrr print and global order, have no clue on how to measure the bonds) https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/irobot-irbt-shares-cross-above-200-dma-2020-04-24 Tho, it has little accuracy overall, if to compare with bottom fishing, since % drawdowns would be larger & freequent. Holding periods would also expand in your disfavor. Conclusion - better than nothing for a newb ; from thousands of bets, especially SNP type of a kind, would provide a small edge over other ,,blind" retailers, yet, as ones experience would grow, inevitably, this indicator would be (should be) - forgotten.
